My 8-year-old dog, Nala, a Lhasa Apso/Poodle mix, has lost her appetite and is not interested in any dog food, including bland chicken and rice, wet dog food, or ground beef. She has had normal blood work and a full check-up in early September, but her eating has worsened in the last week. She has diarrhea, drinks normally, and has a normal attitude except for not playing as usual. She has vomited once and looks like she has lost weight. What should I do to help her regain her appetite, and should I take her back to the vet?

My 4 1/2-year-old Shih Tzu dachshund mix, Tipper, has been experiencing diarrhea and vomiting for the last three days. She is not digesting her food properly, and her diarrhea is completely liquid. She does not have a fever and has not eaten anything unusual. What can I do for her at home since I can't afford a vet bill right now?
