I have an older dog named Squirt with bronchogenic adenocarcinoma. She is currently on Cerenia and I was given 20 mg of Predinsolone when needed. I feel the Cerenia has made her lethargic and I want to give her 1/2 of a Predinsolone pill in combination. Is this safe, and how should I proceed?

My 8.5-year-old yellow Labrador Retriever, Max, has been leaning his head to the left, whimpering, and panting after returning home from being gone for 3 hours. He ate some food I hand-fed him but did not drink water. I gave him 2 Gabapentin 300mg and 1 Rimadyl 100mg. What could be causing this behavior and what should I do?
