My 9-month-old dog, Zeus, has had bright red bloody diarrhea for the past two days. He has vomited once in the past few days, is drinking water a bit faster than usual, and is eating less than normal, but otherwise seems like his usual self. What could be causing this and what should I do?

My 14-15-year-old overweight Chihuahua mix, Ace, is having difficulty breathing, salivating, panting, not eating, and vomited this morning. He is also lame on his hind quarters and has lost the ability to walk. He has been on Meloxicam for a week and recently vomited after eating ham. His breathing is rapid, especially when resting or sleeping, and he has intervals of fast and slow breathing throughout the day. What could be causing these symptoms, and what immediate steps should I take?
