My 9-year-old, 80-lb neutered male lab is in pain, suspected to be from a spine disc issue. He is over-responsive to carprofen, gabapentin, Tramadol, and Buprenorphine. He has weakness in his hind legs and is wobbly. He has lost 10 lbs in 2 weeks, has no appetite when he wakes, and has had adverse reactions to pain medications, including sedation and loss of recognition. He has been diagnosed with diabetes and has a heart murmur. What extended-release pain medication is available for him, and how can I manage his pain effectively without causing adverse reactions?

My dog, Beau, is extremely itchy despite being given CapAction for fleas. Can we still give him his Vetalog prescription?

My 13-year-old Shih Tzu just started taking phenobarbital 16.2 mg on Tuesday evening. He was given the prescribed dose (1 pill every 12 hours) yesterday. About an hour after his morning pill today, he became very unstable, walking as if he was very drunk. My vet is closed today and never warned me about any behavior changes. Is this normal or should I be alarmed? He also takes 1/6 of a pill of Trazodone 100 mg at the same time for anxiety.

Both dogs, Archie and Jackson, are sick simultaneously. Archie has runny poop and Jackson is throwing up red liquid. They live in a country setting with free-roam chickens. What could be causing their symptoms and what should be done for treatment?

My 5-month-old 30-pound sheepadoodle puppy grabbed my reader glasses and swallowed one of the lenses. She is acting normal and has eaten dinner. What should I do?

My dog had been acting normal all day, but last night he vomited his dinner and continued to vomit yellowish-green foam three more times. He also had very loose poop and a tiny bit of blood in his stool this morning. He's been acting normal, eating, and drinking water, but I'm worried it might be something serious. What should I do?
