My 9-year-old Cairn Terrier mix passed a normal-formed stool and urinated a large amount of clear, unconcentrated urine. He is now acting extremely subdued, almost ashamed, not wagging his tail, avoiding eye contact, and isolating himself. When lifted by his chest and belly, he whimpered loudly with pain, particularly on the left side of his belly near the groin area. He is maintaining a sitting position rather than lying down. Does he require an immediate vet visit or is tomorrow soon enough?
