My 9-year-old cocker spaniel has been diagnosed with Cushing's syndrome and started on Veterol, 30 mg daily. He began coughing/hacking on day 3 of the medication. What can I try in the meantime to ease his cough (e.g., Robitussin) and what other potential causes should I consider?

My 3-year-old male Cocker Spaniel is not as active, has body twitches every 30 seconds, and sometimes shows weakness in his back legs. He had a fever, was given fluids and antibiotics, and is currently taking Doxycycline. The vet found him to be moderately anemic and with enlarged lymph nodes, but negative for heartworms, tick-borne diseases, and Lyme disease. Could these symptoms be related to the flea drops I applied or something else?

Our 6-year-old female boxer, Ava, has been unwell for a month. She refuses to eat her normal food and even boiled chicken and rice. She has lost 10 pounds, is listless, has her head down, and her body is hunched over. Blood work and x-rays from our vet showed no issues, but the vet suggested an ultrasound and possibly exploratory surgery, which we are against. Ava vomits occasionally, mainly water, and drinks more than usual. Her gums and teeth look good. What could be causing her condition, and what non-invasive steps can we take to help her?
