My 9-year-old female yellow lab has experienced facial swelling on her right side, causing her eye to partially swell shut. I noticed a broken off rear tooth with a black spot on it. Her gums are pink and smooth, with no indication of infection. She does not show any mouth pain and does not favor the other side of her mouth when chewing. Her breath smells the same as always. I took her to the vet 2 weeks ago and she was prescribed an antibiotic and an anti-inflammatory. The swelling went down quickly until I ran out of meds, so I am taking her back in tomorrow. The lump appears to be hard and not soft or spongy. Could it be an abscess tooth, and what is the treatment for it?

Is there anything I can do to treat cluster fits in my dog? She has had 4 fits in the last 3 hours, 3 of which were in the last hour. She had Diazepam 10mg on the 2nd fit. Other fits have been less severe. She had 3.5ml Epiphen this morning and 5ml this evening. This happened 4 weeks ago, and my vet charged me £275 for a night-time appointment, and I simply don't have the money to take her.

My 2-year-old Cocker Spaniel won't eat dog food and is very picky, only eating hot dogs or chicken. She loves snacks but I don't want her eating just snacks. What can I do? Also, is the yams wrapped with chicken bad for her as a snack?

My dog Max, a 7-year-old chocolate lab, is salivating excessively and it's just dripping out of his mouth. He seems okay, ate dinner, and went for a walk. Should I be concerned? What would cause that?

Our normally active 5-month-old papillon started whining about 1.5 hours after we all went to bed. He looked sick, was drooling a little, and instead of running around, he would walk around and then sit on his hind legs. Then he had one episode of projectile vomiting. Earlier in the evening, my 8-year-old was carrying him and commented about hearing water gurgling in his stomach as she held him. He did get out of his crate tonight and wandered through the house. I worry about him eating chocolate but haven't seen any on the floor. I worry about bowel obstruction. What could be causing his symptoms and what should be done?

I have a golden retriever with limber tail. He screams when I touch about 2 inches after the base of the tail. The symptoms appeared after over excitement when he saw a friend. Is it okay to wait 1 week to see if the pain is gone? My dog is already taking anti-inflammatory pills for a wound in his paw.
