My 9-year-old rescue mixed breed dog, Ginger, is becoming more lethargic each day. She is eating and drinking very little, has been diagnosed with dehydration, has dark gums that she won't let me examine, has lost 10 lbs in the past 6 months, is breathing normally, urinating less than usual, and is very lame. What could be causing this and what should I do?

My rescued dog, Scooter, who appeared blind, has started walking in small circles and now pees indoors instead of going outside. The vet ruled out vestibular disease and there are no other symptoms. This behavior started when I was out of town for two weeks. Scooter can walk straight down hallways but walks into things during the day and shivers sometimes. He sleeps most of the time and doesn't bark. What could be causing this behavior and what can I do to help him?
