My 9-year-old Shih Tzu has a persistent itching and bleeding spot on his chin near the lower lip, accompanied by twitching and shivering due to apparent nerve pain. He has been diagnosed with CUPS disease but doesn't always exhibit those symptoms. What could be causing this and what further steps should I take?
