My 9-year-old Shih Tzu, Simba, occasionally has his lower lip or jaw quiver after licking his nose or using his tongue. This doesn't happen all the time, and sometimes it's only his bottom jaw moving a bit. What could cause this, and is there anything else I should be aware of regarding his health?

I am considering purchasing an F1bb Goldendoodle. My husband is concerned about their health issues, particularly cancer and sickness, compared to German Shepherds, which we have had for 32 years and only lived up to 7 years. I plan to keep the Goldendoodle inside. Could you provide your opinion on the health issues of Goldendoodles and whether they are generally healthier than German Shepherds?

My Great Dane/Mastiff mix, Bauer, is whimpering and holding his head down when we make him get up. Otherwise, he just lays there. This has happened a few times before and lasts a few hours before he seems normal again. His chest cavity appears to be a bit wider than normal, but there's no reaction when we palpitate the area. There's no change in diet or anything else, and he has always eaten and drinks from raised bowls. What could be causing this and what should I do?

My dog, Charlie, a 3-year-old German Shepherd mix weighing 80 pounds, ingested a large pork chop bone yesterday. This morning, she seems to cry when getting up quickly, favors her butt, and shakes slightly while relaxed. She has not vomited and has not had a bowel movement since the incident. What should we do, and what signs should we look for to know if we need to take her to the animal hospital?

My 6-month-old chihuahua, Carl, ate six Imodium tablets about 2 hours ago. He has thrown up 7-8 times, initially dark green and now clear, and is shaky. He weighs about 7 lbs and is otherwise healthy with no medications. What should I do, and is there anything I can do at home since there's no 24-hour vet available?
