My 9-year-old, spayed female Boxer, Sophie, has been licking her urethra a lot. Her urine is not cloudy or unusually smelly, and she doesn't seem to be incontinent. She has done this before for about 24 hours and then stopped, but she started again recently. She is not showing signs of tiredness and is not straining to pee. What could this be from and how do I treat it?

Our 4-pound Miniature Pinscher, Gretzel, born in 2007, has extremely foul breath. I suspect tooth decay, but our vet won't perform a dental due to her age and the risks involved. What can I do about her bad breath, and should I consider giving her Clavamox for potential mouth infection?

My son's French Bulldog, Leon, has a swollen lower lip that is firm but not painful. The swelling occurred after traveling from DC to Texas and back, and the dog has had diarrhea with a bit of blood for the past few days. He also had a lack of appetite while in Texas and has been eating very little since then. What could be causing this and what should we do?
