Now that his symptoms have returned, should I continue with Doxycycline or switch to Amoxicillin due to potential bacterial resistance? My dog stole my bag of Ricola cherry honey cough drops off my desk while I was out picking up dinner. I don’t know which of the three dogs ate them or how many were left in the bag. Roxy is a 3-year-old, 15lbs Papillon Spaniel mix, and Jasper and Ruby are 80-90lbs Doberman Great Dane mixes. They are healthy dogs, but I’m worried that the cough drops might make them sick or worse. What should I do?
