My Australian Shepherd, River, has a red swollen dew claw and a wound between her paws beside the dew claw. The wound was from running on a beach and possibly slicing it on an oyster. I'm wondering if this could be an infection spreading. What should I do to treat it and should I be concerned about the swelling of the dew claw?
