My dog's paw is suddenly swollen and he is holding it up. I've examined it closely and don't see any obvious wounds. He doesn't seem to be in pain when I push on it or feel around it. My boxer has been itchy for a couple of days, and recently developed welts and bumps all over his body, including a large welt on his eye after taking Benadryl. Should I take him to the animal hospital, and could he be allergic to Benadryl?
