My black lab, Missy, is drooling excessively, acting anxious, unable to sit still, and her abdomen feels very hard. She also has a lot of plaque on her teeth, yelped several times, and seems to be struggling. What could be causing these symptoms and what should I do?

My dog has blood in her stool and I'm not sure if I should take her in for an emergency visit. It started this evening, and her stool has been very soft and fluffy. She did start a new food last night and also ate half a bag of mini marshmallows. How much blood are you seeing in the stool? How is she doing otherwise - does she still have a good energy level and appetite?
