My Chihuahua, Bebe, got into a fight with our older dog and now has an open wound near her hip. She's not bleeding a lot and doesn't seem to be in pain, but she has been licking the wound. What should I do?

My dog, Jackson, a 1.5-year-old weighing 15.3 pounds, got into my purse and ate 2 or 3 pieces of sugar-free Orbit strawberry gum. He was coughing and spit up a few minutes after I realized he had gotten into the gum. He seems fine now but I want to ensure he didn't ingest too much or that something is wrong. What should I do?
