My 10-year-old Zuchon dog, Berger, has been experiencing bloody pudding-like stools with blood clots and mucous, and occasional pain on the left side midway down his body for several weeks. The dog seems thirstier than usual, but otherwise has normal energy levels and no vomiting. The vet-prescribed medicine for inflammation isn't working much. What could be causing this and what steps can I take to help my dog?

My 7-month-old French bulldog is not gaining weight. She has always been skinny, was dewormed, and is on a fresh food diet with added oats. She used to eat until she vomited, so her meals are now measured and spread throughout the day. She was previously on puppy kibble but was switched to fresh food due to stomach issues. She is still not gaining weight. Could it be that she is putting all her nutrients into growing and not enough into gaining weight? Should I supplement her diet with more fats and protein?
