My chocolate lab, Charley, has been experiencing smelly mucus-like diarrhea for the last couple of days. We recently switched her to a chicken and rice diet due to a bad batch of dog food. She is otherwise playful and has not vomited since the initial incident. What could be causing this and what should I do to help her?

My dog, Paul, a mixed breed mostly lab, is crying and not moving much, crawling when he does move. He didn't eat dinner last night and hasn't had a bowel movement or urinated since yesterday afternoon. He also didn't follow me downstairs yesterday and sat down a short distance from the door when I tried to take him out. What could be wrong with him and what should I do?

My 11-year-old 20lb mini schnauzer, Winston, ate fabric from my daughter’s underwear. I am not sure how much he ate, but it looks more shredded than eaten. He has not vomited since, and it was about an hour and a half ago. Should I take him to the emergency vet, considering the cost, or is there another way to handle this situation?
