My dog, Teeko, who is 13 years old and has a history of poor dental health, slipped and caused one of his bottom canines to become very loose. Is it safe to pull the loose tooth to help him, and what should I do about his dental health?

My 9-10 pound, 14-week-old Sheltie puppy, Kiki, chewed on a half of a used lidocaine patch. The patch was cut roughly in half, worn for around 4 hours, and then in the trash for about 22 hours before Kiki got to it. What should I do and watch for?

My parents own a 14-year-old Llewelyn setter who is waking up at night frequently to urinate, drinks several liters of water daily, howls at night, has a droopy and sometimes bulging left eye, and appears to have arthritis. Should we be very concerned about his excessive drinking and peeing, and can much be done at his age to alleviate these issues?

I adopted a retired farm dog (lab/collie mix) who is about 12-13 years old. She is straining to urinate and has a very full bladder with an enlarged neck of the bladder at the urethra, as shown by an X-ray. The vet recommended an ultrasound to determine if it's a tumor or a polyp, both of which would require surgery. Given my financial constraints, I'm seeking another opinion on whether the ultrasound would be definitive and if surgery is the only course of action if it's a polyp.
