My dog woke up early this morning trying to vomit. The vomitus was mostly clear initially, but later it was very yellow. He ate some open butter packs while playing at a high school yesterday. He has not eaten since the last vomiting episode and is sleeping off and on. He has also not taken any water. What could be the issue and what steps should I take?

My 3-year-old Shih Tzu has a single red spot on the hairless part of its belly, about the size of a dime. It looks like blood but doesn't rinse off and is not raised. Could it be ringworm or something else?

Our dog just had enterotomy surgery to remove an object that had blocked and damaged her intestine, resulting in the removal of one foot of intestine (about 20%). Can dogs live okay with this reduction in intestine, and are the next five days critical? Do stitches often leak, and is there a significant risk associated with cutting out part of the intestine? What if the stitches don't hold?
