My dog, a male Slovak Chuvach (related to Great Pyrenees), has a cracked nose that has been a concern for a couple of days. He last saw a vet last week for a different issue and is not on medication. About 1.5 months ago, he had a porcupine quill on his face (not nose), and we removed some, but it seems one might be traveling in his nostrils as he occasionally bleeds from his nostril. The cracked surface of his nose looks concerning. What could be the issue, and should we be worried?
