My 4-year-old bulldog, Paco, was diagnosed with stage 4 heartworms based on a blood test and has pale gums and a swollen stomach. He has an active lifestyle and a heart murmur. Our 22-pound dachshund, Harley, ate approximately 10 Russel Stover assorted chocolates, including 4 dark chocolates. He seems to have a tummy ache but no other symptoms like vomiting or diarrhea. What is the best course of action? Should we take him to the vet emergency or is there something else we can do?
