My dog, Alvin, a 16 lb. Terrier mix, recently ate a small green rain frog and has developed a minor cough. He also ate discarded sunflower seed shells from a bird feeder. Could these incidents be related to his cough, and what should I do to help him?

My dog Ratso, a thirteen-year-old poodle mix, is coughing and sneezing through the nose more often recently. She has coughed before but it seems worse now, especially when she moves around. She also has a tumor in the breast area that hasn't bothered her. The vet wasn't concerned about the cough or the tumor during the last appointment. What should I do?

My puppy, Tip, has been losing a lot of hair in chunks for the past week. She threw up last night, is more tired than usual, and cuddles a lot more. She had her second round of shots and a medicated shampoo from the vet on Saturday. She is still eating and drinking normally, but I'm worried. What other suggestions do you have?

I have an older Border Collie mix, Sadie, about 13 years old. Her hearing has been declining severely in the past 3 months. Today, I noticed moisture and a watery noise in her ear when I was petting her. I found a wet discharge in her right ear, which I cleaned with a paper towel. The discharge had an odor but was not as foul as a previous ear infection over a year ago. Could this discharge be the reason for her hearing loss, and why is there so much moisture in her ear? Sadie seems happy, her hearing has not improved, she is not scratching her ear, and does not show any discomfort. What color is the discharge, and is she shaking her head?

I have a 2-year-old Great Dane named Leo with a very swollen and painful toe. He won't put weight on that foot, and there is a possibility that the toe is broken. There is no visible injury or infection, and Leo is otherwise in great health. What could be causing this and what should I do to help him?
