My dog, an Airedale Terrier named Mac, who is 7 years old and 10 months, had surgery on March 16 for lump removal. The vet removed two lumps, but one was incorrectly identified as a mast cell tumor. Now, another vet suggests removing the actual mast cell tumor next week, which would be 7 weeks after the first surgery. Is it too soon for another surgery, and should the vet know about Mac's seizures that started last year but are not too frequent?
