My dog appears to always be covered in what I believe is flea dirt, but I give him Nitenpyram 3 days a week and he hasn't been outside in over a month. I have vacuumed extensively and used rubbing alcohol on the vacuum bag, but I have never definitively seen a flea. I have a 45x lighted magnifying glass and a microscope that magnifies up to 2,000 times, but I have not seen a flea. I have attached a picture of what I think is flea dirt and would like to know if it is indeed flea dirt or if it could be a skin condition. Additionally, my dog is suffering from flaky brown skin. Could this produce what appears to be flea dirt?
