I am trying to crate potty train my 2-year-old toy poodle, Ernie. He wakes me up multiple times at night to go outside to urinate. He has never been properly potty trained and has used a mixture of puppy pads and the carpet. I am now consistently crating him at night, and he cries to wake me up so I take him out to urinate, provide positive reinforcement, and then put him back in the crate.
