My dog ate 2 apples and about an hour later, she suddenly became acutely distressed, lost her equilibrium, and was shaking uncontrollably for about five minutes. She then returned to her normal self and has been fine since. What could have caused this episode, and should I be concerned?

My Pitbull, Melo, is limping on both his front and back left legs, twitching, and seems unsteady. He also peed in the house, which he never does. He escaped our yard for a couple of hours, and the symptoms came on suddenly. What could be wrong with him?

Our Staffy, Finn, is experiencing stiffness, pain, and difficulty moving his head to look up or yawn. He also yelped when our Boston Terrier jumped on him. We found a tick on his neck and removed it, but we are concerned about the tick bite. What could be causing his symptoms and what should we do?

My 29 lb, 12-week-old Newfoundland/Poodle puppy, Shamu, chewed and possibly ingested 1-2 pieces of sugar-free gum containing xylitol. We're unsure of the exact amount. He hasn't vomited since this happened. What should I do?

My dog, Pepper, a 5-year-old Dachshund mix, has been limping and showing signs of discomfort, including hesitancy to jump or stand on her hind legs, occasional shaking, and a recent incident where she yelped and lost control of her bladder during a jump. She tested positive for Lyme disease three months ago and completed a course of doxycycline, which initially improved her condition. However, her symptoms have returned, and she is now lethargic, eating less, and showing sensitivity in her armpits. What could be causing her symptoms, and what steps can be taken to alleviate her discomfort until she can be seen by a vet?
