My dog, Athena, a 2-year-old German Shepherd weighing 95 lbs, has been taking 1 1/2 phenobarbital pills (16.2 mg each) daily for seizures since February. She has not had a seizure in 3 weeks but recently had 2 seizures in one day and 2 more the next day. Should I give her an extra dose of phenobarbital, and what other steps should I consider to manage her seizures?
