My dog, Bello, has an abscess on his anal gland. It's bleeding and leaking fluid. I noticed it about 30 minutes ago. He's not in a lot of pain and was playing with a toy. What should I do until I can get him to a vet?

My 17-year-old Pekingese, Prancer, is howling and whining, wants to go out but stands indecisive when taken outside. He has also lost a lot of weight, is more clingy, and follows us from room to room more than usual. Is he still eating and drinking normally?
