My dog, Coconut, is experiencing severe itching and panting after using a new conditioner during her bath. She has been rewashed, given oral Benadryl, and topical hydrocortisone, but she remains frantic and unable to walk straight due to the intense itching. She is also scheduled for surgery for mammary cancer on Wednesday and is compromised. Is this a life-threatening emergency, and is there anything else I can do to help her until I can contact her veterinarian clinic in the morning?
