My dog, Cooper, a 5-year-old red tick coon hound, has an infection on his lip and lower jaw. The infection was noticed today, and he has been play fighting with a puppy that has caused small nipping wounds all over his face. Cooper is eating and drinking but not as much as normal, and there is redness and noticeable swelling in the affected area. He is also scratching his bottom jaw, which is covered in tiny scabs. What could be causing this infection, and what should I do to help Cooper?

My dog has been vomiting for the past 24 hours, with episodes at 4am-6am and during the day. She ate boiled chicken and rice recommended by Dr. Jeff with no apparent problems, but was sick again at 3:40am with a white-yellow frothy vomit. She also displayed unusual behavior such as sleeping in a corner and mood swings. Is this normal behavior for a sick dog, and should we visit the emergency vet tonight or wait until tomorrow morning?
