My Rottweiler, Aldo, has a swollen left front leg that started on Wednesday. The vet took an X-ray, which showed no bone issues, and conducted a comprehensive chemistry and complete blood count, which also showed no significant issues except for slightly high protein. The swelling has worsened, extending from the elbow to the foot and possibly into the chest. Aldo is in pain, and his saliva is slimy and cloudy. The vet prescribed Cephalexin, and Aldo had recently started Previcox for stiffness. What could be causing the swelling, and what further steps should be taken?

My 15 1/2-year-old dog, Hope, was diagnosed with metastatic neoplasia. She has a lump on her side that recently became an open wound due to her licking. She also has dementia and has been having accidents in the house. What is the prognosis for her condition, and is there any way to know how long she has had this condition? Additionally, is she currently in pain, and what treatments are available?

My dog, Dot, a 4-year-old mini fox terrier, has occasional seizures (about once every couple of months) that last for about 20 minutes, followed by an hour of being wobbly. She recovers well but appears confused and distressed during the seizure. My vet suggested it might be epilepsy but doesn't think medication is necessary yet. Should I begin a medication program?
