My dog, Aspen, a 1-year-old German Shepherd weighing 72 lbs, ate a tube of Desitin and is now vomiting. What should I do?

My 1-year-old toy poodle, Marcy, has been sucking her vaginal/butt area and gasping for air after doing so. She has done this twice, once while standing at the back of the couch with her tongue hanging out and gasping for air, and another time where she was crying and then fell asleep. She came into heat on her birthday, February 12th, and has been licking/sucking herself in her vaginal area frequently. Is this behavior normal for a female dog in heat, and could it be related to asthma?

My dog is frantic, breathing at 120 breaths per minute, and frantically licking one paw. There are no visible injuries or known poison exposure. The behavior started suddenly, and the dog cannot settle. I gave the dog a bath with baking soda, and the breathing rate has calmed to 80 breaths per minute after giving one baby aspirin. I am concerned about a possible bug bite or poison, but we are in a hotel with no visible insects, and the dog walks on blacktop and grass. What could be wrong with the dog, and what should I do?
