My dog, Deuce, is a 4 1/2-month-old puppy who hasn't been eating or drinking for 2 days, has been vomiting and experiencing diarrhea, and has started trying to drink water again but turns away from food and vomits. He chewed up a houseplant and remnants of tomato plants, has not been vaccinated, and was previously diagnosed with kennel cough. What could be causing his symptoms and what can I do to help him?

I have a female Rhodesian Ridgeback that is eight years old. I had planned on breeding her when she was younger but never did. Now, I'm concerned about the risks of spaying her at this age, especially since she experiences phantom pregnancies and hormonal mood alterations during her seasons. What would be the best course of action for her health?

My 13-year-old toy poodle has a heart murmur and congestive heart failure. He's been taking lasix (furosemide) and Pimobendan for a few weeks. Can we stop the Pimobendan all at once or does he need to wean off it? Also, can Young at Heart by PetWellbeing be used after stopping Pimobendan, and should there be a waiting period before starting it?

Dozer, an 8-year-old chocolate Labrador, was recently diagnosed with kidney issues and has been experiencing vomiting, lethargy, and weight loss. After a period of not eating, he has started to eat again but remains thin. Could Dozer be suffering from pancreatitis, and what additional information should the veterinarian know?

My 12-year-old dog Lucy has started wetting our bed. This happened once last week, once earlier this week, and twice last night. She is scheduled to see her vet on Tuesday for a growth on the right side of her bum that she has had for months. Should I take her to the emergency vet if she has a UTI, USMI, or Diabetes Insipidus, rather than waiting for her appointment on Tuesday? She is eating, drinking, and seems to be her normal self, but she does pant at times and her breath has a noticeable odor, which is not normal for her.

We have friends staying with us for a couple of weeks who brought an adorable 4-month-old puppy that was potty trained in their previous home but not in our home. The puppy has been peeing on our throw rugs and in several other places, despite having a large lined tray in the laundry room. How can we help the puppy adjust to our home for the next couple of weeks, especially when our friends move into a new apartment?
