My dog, Duke, a 7-year-old, suddenly became lifeless and weak last Friday. We took him to the vet, who ran tests but couldn't find anything wrong. He doesn't show obvious pain but seems sad and has no strength. What could be causing this and what should we do next?

I have a pit bulldog named Dodge, who is around 10 years old. He was shot when he was about 4, and the bullet went through his neck and shoulder, resulting in the removal of 10 lbs of flesh. He recovered but has a limp in his front shoulder. Two years later, he ran into a trailer and hit his bad shoulder, causing it to stick up slightly. Recently, he has been acting strangely: he didn't poop for 3 days, is a bit stiff in his back legs, and keeps stretching as if his stomach hurts, though it doesn't seem to bother him when touched. He looks a little swollen across his back, and sometimes his stomach feels tight. He drinks plenty of water, eats fine, and there is no wound on his foot. Could this be stomach problems, arthritis, or something else?

My dog, Bailey, is 40 pounds and was near an oleander plant. I saw her chewing on something near the plant, and I read that all parts of an Oleander plant are toxic to dogs. What signs should I look for and what should I do?

Hello, two of our girls are very upset over the fireworks. I don’t have time to drive to Santa Cruz tomorrow. I have cannabutter and I want to know if it is safe to give my two dog girls cannabis. They are nervous and shaking from the fireworks going off now from some turds in the neighborhood and the fireworks are the loud illegal ones. Ellie and Phoebe are healthy, no meds, they are usually happy and live inside with a doggie door and they live with 3 other dogs who are not affected by the fireworks. Ellie and Phoebe are 8 and 11 pounds.

I have a 7-year-old black lab diagnosed with lymphoma. She had chemo but is now on a better diet and pregnizone, which helped reduce lumps but they are returning. She has good and bad days, and I don't want her to suffer. Is there anything I can do to help her pass away peacefully at home?
