My dog, Gideon, a 15-pound mutt, injured his leg or possibly dislocated his hip after jumping off the bed. He has a cut or bruise on his inner thigh near his groin and on his knee. He is walking reluctantly but doesn't seem to be in pain when I touch or move his leg. How can I determine if this is an emergency, whether it's his back or leg/hip causing the issue, and if there's anything I can do in the meantime?
