My dog, Ginger, just had a runny bowel movement with bright red blood at the end. She seemed uncomfortable and walked hunched. She is an 8-year-old lab mix, a senior rescue with a history of bladder infections but otherwise healthy. She has not been on any medications and has an upcoming vet appointment for vaccinations. She started a new bag of food but not a new brand. What could be causing this and what can I do to help her?

My 1.5-year-old Dalmatian, Sirius, has been limping without apparent reason and his condition has progressively worsened over the weekend. He is now barely able to stand, has no interest in food, and hasn't moved from the sofa since waking up. There are no emergency vets available in my area until Monday. What can I do to help him until then?

Do newborn puppies always have both eyes open by 2 weeks? If not, can one eye remain closed until up to 6 weeks?
