My Belgian Malinois, Sarge, ingested a rag on Wednesday night. He has vomited a few times and part of the rag has come out. He seems lethargic and is not eating, though he is drinking water. What should I do?

My dog, Kaiser, a 14.5-year-old who was recently diagnosed with kidney failure, is not eating well, vomiting water, and falling over. The vet recommended euthanasia, but I want to know if there are any other treatment options available, such as dialysis or fluid therapy, and if not, what the consequences of not pursuing aggressive treatment might be.
