My 18-year-old Samoyed has been experiencing episodes of confusion and weakness, similar to transient ischemic attacks (TIAs), about every 5 months for the past year. Recently, she had a severe episode but recovered the next day. I'm concerned about her suffering during these episodes and am leaving for a 10-day trip soon. Should I medicate her or leave her with a caregiver, and what should I do if another episode occurs while I'm away?

My 5-year-old dog's leg (possibly hip) seems to be hurting him. He is not crying or whimpering, can walk without limping but slowly, and leans to one hip when sitting. He is generally slow to move but will walk if called. What can I give him for pain until I can take him to the vet on Monday?

Our 2-year-old Stafford mix female dog, June, hasn't been feeling well for about 3 days, has not been eating as usual, and has been shaking. She vomited twice this morning and continues to shake. We recently changed her food to puppy food from Costco, which caused diarrhea, and have since switched her back to her regular food. Is this a life-threatening situation, or can we wait until our veterinary clinic opens?
