Why would a dog occasionally, at the same time, at night sit up, pant, and sometimes shake, continuing until early morning?

I have trouble with my dog's eyes, and they don't provide animal services where I live. My dog has lots of bugs around her face, her eyes are red, and she won't stop blinking.

I have a border collie mix and a XXXXX XXXXX/blue heeler mix, both are 2 and 3 years old. They are smart, energetic, and friendly. I saw a one-year-old female German Shepherd at the shelter and want to adopt her. However, I'm concerned about German Shepherds' health problems and grooming needs. Are German Shepherds prone to many health issues and difficult to groom?

Our rescue dog, a 65lb pit/pointer/terrier mix, has been with us for 3 years and is generally well-behaved, though she shows signs of past abuse. She is not afraid of car rides but starts emitting a strong smell and may vomit if the journey exceeds 3/4 of an hour. We need to take her on a 5-hour trip to visit our grandchild this weekend. Is there anything we can buy at the pharmacy to calm her until our vet returns?

I have a grey wolf for about a year that is very sweet and kind-tempered and submissive with us, our little chihuahua, and kids. I took him on a walk this weekend on a leash and a loose dog came up to sniff. Before I could react, they were fighting, and I had to pull my dog off. This prompted me to research grey wolves. I was shocked and now am concerned. Could this seemingly gentle and lazy dog be unsafe around kids?
