My dog has been on prednisone for 3 months for suspected Meningitis. She has been on 7.50 mg every other day for the last 3 weeks. I am concerned about her coat thinning and the vet has suggested a rapid reduction in dosage, ending with no prednisone after 3 days of 5mg. I am worried about stopping prednisone too quickly and want to ensure my dog's safety. Should I trust my vet's advice, or should I question it?

Does feeding dry kibble with a higher than average protein level of 34% - 42% cause a dog's kidneys to work harder? Is this harmful to my dog?

My four-month-old puppy, who has had all his shots, is sneezing quite a bit and sometimes retches, mostly in the morning. This has been going on for about 5 days now. There is no runny nose or eyes. Does this sound like Kennel Cough and if so, how should I treat it? I take my puppy to the dog park quite often, which may be where he caught this.
