My dog's blood report shows a TBL of 1.73 and a platelet count of 150,000. The vet is prescribing Hepamerz injection 10ml with two days of IV therapy followed by oral medication for about a week. Does this sound appropriate, and are these values indicative of a serious liver issue?

I have an 11-year-old dog with worsening tracheal collapse, currently on hycodan and low-dose steroids. Anxiety is a major issue, and I've tried Valium and Xanax without success. My vet started trazodone today. How long should I wait for an effect, and can acepromazine be used with his hydrocodone?

My dachshund, Farmer, who is 12 years old, has swelling above and below his eye since Thursday afternoon. The swelling seems to itch and looks fluidy. I have tried Benadryl and other remedies for a bite, but they did not help. I also have clindamycin left from his tooth surgery. What could be causing the swelling and what should I do?
