My dog has been taking Cephalexin for a gum infection for two weeks. Is the effect of this antibiotic only temporary, and should the infection be over after two weeks? She's nearing 16 years old, and I don't feel comfortable with her having dental work done. Is the healing with Cephalexin only temporary?

I have 2 diabetic dogs, one an 85 lb. Labrador retriever and one a 3 1/2 lb Chihuahua. I accidentally injected the Chihuahua with the Labrador's dose of 14 units of insulin instead of her normal 4 units. What should I do?

My 3-year-old collie, who is very fit and weighs 14.4kg, collapses and lies panting after running non-stop for a while. She stands up shaky on her hind legs and takes nearly an hour to recover. She looks dazed and is on high-energy feed twice a day with exercise before feeding. This behavior only occurs with activity and not at rest. What could be causing this and what should I do?
