I just got a new dog who is about a year old. He was given to me in front of Safeway, and shortly after, he started showing signs of distress, including diarrhea and a limp. An emergency vet clinic in Corvallis, Oregon, diagnosed him with a heart murmur and found illegal substances (heroin and meth) in his system. What can I do to ensure his well-being, especially concerning the heart murmur?

My dog, Benjamin, is barely eating, shaking, and doesn't want to stand. He has been like this for the last three days, with decreased energy and seems to be in pain. He is a Pitbull, about three or four years old, and mostly stays in the room with my son. He hasn't gotten into anything he shouldn't have, and there were no medications around. His stomach doesn't seem bloated, and he wasn't uncomfortable when pressed. What should I do?
