My dog has ongoing skin allergies. We previously had a trumpet vine in our yard, and I'm wondering if her allergies could be related to eating the vine's leaves, even though we removed it once we realized it was toxic. She is otherwise healthy and we've been treating her with steroids and 2x per week baths, but I'd like to get her off the steroids. What could be causing her allergies and what can I do to help her?

The ongoing skin allergies your dog is experiencing are unlikely to be related to previous exposure ...

How do you know if a dog has food allergies? My puppy has soft stools but not diarrhea and has been on a mixture of puppy chow and pure balance chicken and rice since I adopted him over two months ago.

My 2-year-old dog, Hudson, ate a bit of the stuffing from a toy and a bit of the fuzz from a tennis ball. He vomited this morning, including some of the stuffing and fuzz. His poop was normal, but he hasn't eaten since last night. He is acting fine. What should I do next?

Our chocolate lab, Patriot, throws up now and then. He is eight months old and eats everything in sight, including plastic cups and patio furniture cushions. He throws up every other week or so, and it seems to be the entire contents of his stomach. Should we be concerned or just chalk it up to his eating weird things?

My one-year-old terrier choked on his food after I added water to it because he eats too fast. He gagged and wheezed but seemed to recover. Later, he kept reverse sneezing and his nose sounded bubbly. He is better now but I heard him wheeze again and am worried. Should I wait until morning to call my vet, or is it urgent? I'm concerned he might have something stuck in his airway or nose. His gums are pink and his tail is wagging.

I accidentally gave my 20-pound Bichon Frise his seizure medicine (phenobarbital) instead of his sleeping pill (Trazodone 50 mg). What should I do?
