My dog Heather, an 11-year-old medium-sized crossbreed weighing 26kg, was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in September 2012. She is currently taking 75mg of Rimadyl once daily. We have opted for palliative care and she has developed another tumor under her right axilla-leg joint. Is it safe to increase her Rimadyl dose to 50mg morning and night, and what is the maximum safe dose for her weight? Additionally, what is her expected life expectancy with this aggressive cancer?

We have a male Great Pyrenees, 7 years old, who started behaving differently yesterday. He vomited grass, had increased bathroom needs, and produced clear mucus gel with red stuff and grass, along with foaming saliva trails. He also vomited yellowish stuff and had blood in his stool. We fed him leftover turkey with gravy, which we usually don't do. What could be causing his symptoms and what should we do?

My German Shepherd has a swollen right rear knee and paw, looking like extreme water weight with a watery lump above the knee joint. He doesn't seem to be in pain and wants to play as usual. I'm trying to keep him off it, iced it, and gave him an aspirin. Should I wrap it? What can I do until I can get to the vet on Monday?

My Chihuahua is on Vetmedin 1.25mg, Enalpril 2.5mg, and Lasix 12.5 mg, all twice a day. She was given 2 shots of Lasix yesterday at the veterinary office, but she is having difficulty and making gurgling noises. How much Lasix can she safely take in pill form per day?

My 10-year-old border terrier is in distress, pacing and unable to settle. He was previously suggested to have arthritis but never confirmed with an x-ray. He is eating normally and not limping, but is very needy for comfort. Can I safely give him paracetamol until I take him to the vet?
