My dog, Hera, a 3-year-old German Shepherd mix weighing about 70 pounds, started licking her lips and gulping air about 20 minutes ago. She has no known allergies, no rash or skin-related symptoms, and recently had her food changed to a different blend. She gagged a couple of times and seems to want to throw up but hasn't been able to. She's still wagging her tail and can sip some water. What could be causing this and what should I do?

My dog, Ozzy, a beagle weighing around 20 lbs, stole a sandwich with onion from my colleague on Friday. I became concerned when I realized onions are toxic to dogs and noticed Ozzy was weaker and less playful over the weekend. Should I be worried about onion toxicity, and what should I check for?
