My dog, Hunter, has a small pea-sized red bump on his inner thigh. He is itchy, and the bump has become more red over the past two days. Additionally, the bump is leaking a little discharge. What could this be, and what should I do?

My 3-year-old Mastiff has stopped eating and has become very sluggish, losing significant weight. He has had diarrhea in the past, which led to a change in his dog food. He has since stopped eating the new food as well. He drools more than usual and has swollen neck and face. What can I do for him right now, and is there a specific diet for him if he has been diagnosed with cancer?

I just adopted a 9-year-old lab mix named Lou. The vet has identified an abscess or ulcer on his eye, which seems to be worsening despite treatment with Tobramycin eye drops every 8 hours for three weeks. The vet mentioned an ablation procedure but suggested a specialist might handle it better. My concerns are: Could this problem become serious, painful, and result in the loss of Lou's eye? Is the ablation procedure risky and typically used as a last-ditch effort? Should I wait and see, or is there a risk of missing an underlying cause that could advance the problem to the point of losing the eye? What additional advice or questions should I discuss with the vet?
