My dog is having an allergic reaction. I gave him half a Benadryl at 7pm, but the hives, redness, and itchiness came back at 10:30pm. He's not having trouble breathing, but he won't settle down. Should I take him in? He's a 6-year-old dachshund weighing about 12 lbs.

The Benadryl should have resolved a minor allergic reaction or provided at least 6-8 hours of relief...
