My 9-year-old miniature dachshund, Rexi, is lethargic, chilly to touch, and has what looks like diluted blood coming from her mouth and nose. She isn't eating or drinking. She is normally very active and never misses a meal. She is rarely outside except to potty and has access to chickens in a fenced yard. What could be wrong and what should I do?

I have an 8-9 year old lab diagnosed with seizures in 2010, controlled by Phenobarb and Zonisimide. Recently, he has been lethargic, not eating well, with high glucose levels and low sodium. Lab work showed normal liver function and CBC, but the vet is concerned about pancreatitis vs. diabetes mellitus (DM). We opted not to do an ultrasound or pursue surgical treatment/chemotherapy. The vet is treating him for DM with insulin, but he shows no improvement in behavior, energy, or appetite, and his hind legs have become weak. What other treatments or considerations should we explore?

Can I give Bilberry to my dog? She had one eye removed about a year ago due to a painful ulcer. She is 12 years old now, and at age 4, she developed genetic cataracts and had cataract surgery and an implant. In her remaining eye, there is a small cataract that does not seem to affect her vision, but her depth perception is off. I want to maintain her good eye health and prevent any further issues.
